“The three players who came on in the second half changed the game,” said head coach Surachai Jaturapatarapong Pathum after the loss to Ulsan.
Pathum lost 1-3 to Ulsan Hyundai on Monday in the first leg of their 2023/24 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League (ACL) group stage match at Munsu Stadium in Ulsan, South Korea.
Despite their relative power disadvantage, Patum finished the first half 1-1, but conceded back-to-back goals from Martin Adam midway through the second half to lose the first leg.
Patum also extended its head-to-head deficit against Ulsan. 바카라 This was the third consecutive defeat against Ulsan, having previously been drawn with them in 2021, losing 2-0 in both home and away matches.
“I think Ulsan is a very tough and strong team,” said head coach Jaturapattarapong. I think the three players who came on in the second half changed a lot of Ulsan’s game.”
“We showed a good performance in the first half, but I think we showed a bad performance because we traveled a long way from Thailand and the players had a lot of physical pressure in the second half,” he explained.
When asked what he would like to improve on for the next game, he said, “Despite the fact that we didn’t have a full squad today, I tried to strategically focus a lot of players and operate according to my words, and I think those things didn’t work well in today’s game, but I think we will be able to show a better performance in the future games with experience.”
