Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Flamengo’s Pedro.
The UK’s ‘Independent’ reported on Tuesday (June 20) that “Tottenham are considering a move for Pedro among a number of forward options. The signing of Harry Kane remains 50-50 with Bayern Munich believed to have done everything but negotiate with chairman Daniel Levy. With just one year left on Kane’s contract, Tottenham are naturally looking at alternatives,” the report said.
“At the age of 26, Pedro has shown great goalscoring ability for Flamengo. He won the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores and was called up to the Brazilian national team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He is ready to play for a big club in Europe and is one of the options Tottenham are considering.”
North London is stirring. This summer, Munich have already confirmed their interest in Kane and have handed him a formal offer. According to the UK’s The Guardian, “Munich made an initial offer of £60m plus add-ons for Kane, which Tottenham Hotspur rejected. Now Munich have made an offer of £70 million plus add-ons,” the report said.
A crisis that could see him leave in free agency. Nevertheless, Levy is willing to accept £100 million ($164.2 billion). He’s also open to the possibility of a new contract. There are even reports that he has been offered a post-retirement role for £400,000 a week.
However, they can’t stick to their ‘Not For Sale’ (NFS) policy forever. In the midst of all this, the options to replace Kane are being discussed and Pedro has been mentioned. 메이저놀이터
Pedro came up through the Fluminense youth ranks before making his professional debut. His move to Fiorentina in 2019 gave him a shot at the big leagues in Europe, but it didn”t work out. He failed to make an impact and was loaned to Flamengo before returning to Brazil for a full transfer.
Pedro’s fall from grace has been complete. According to soccer stats site TransferMarkt, he’s looking sharp heading into 2023 with “26 goals and 4 assists in 35 games”. He’s even improved since the World Cup. Currently, Pedro is valued at €22 million, but the actual transfer fee is expected to be higher.
