“Thank you for the ‘Goal Girls’ relay for women’s soccer.”
Ji So-yeon, a board member of the Korea Football Association and president of the Korea Professional Soccer Players Association (KPSA), expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support for the organization’s #WomensSoccerSupportRelay.
“It’s great to see so many fans coming to the WK League,” said Ji So-yeon, president of the Players’ Association. We are grateful that we were able to promote women’s soccer through a social media campaign, which was one of the agenda items at the last board meeting. We decided to start with the easiest way to promote women’s soccer, and the response seems to be good,” said Ji. “This season marks the 14th anniversary of the WK League, and I don’t know if there has ever been a more intense battle for the top spot than this season. The matches are as intense as they are exciting, so I think it’s fun for the fans.”
“I am very encouraged that many celebrities and athletes, including girl group APINK’s Oh Ha Young, announcer Yoon Tae-jin, and ‘Goal Girls’ stars Lee Hyun-i and Chae-ri, participated in the women’s soccer support relay to support the WK League and the players’ association,” said Ji. “It is quite encouraging that many women are interested in soccer through ‘Goal Girls’ and are able to easily access the sport. As a board member of the Korea Football Association, I am putting a lot of thought into how to make soccer more accessible and fun for our fans,” said Mr. Kim. “The interest and love of fans is the biggest driving force for soccer. We will continue to provide fan services and various social contribution activities.” 메이저사이트

Through this campaign, many fans who love the WK League uploaded photos with the W sign supporting women’s soccer and the Players’ Association tag, and we are very grateful.”
Kim Hoon-ki, secretary general of the Players’ Association, said, “We are very grateful for the participation of many people, including the ‘goalie’ players, in the women’s soccer support relay. We will continue to do our best to support female players.”
